Adfaiel is a world lacking in the materials necessary to pull them back to the levels of comfort and technology that had existed before the ruins littered the lands. Metals mined from the ground are rarely of a quality suitable for use in construction or smithing. The world itself seemed to recognize this, however, and provided trees of living, breathing metals called Bronzewood. It is difficult to mold into general construction materials, but surprisingly easy to forge into the armor and weaponry needed in these savage times.

The base material of all iron or steel items is replaced with Bronzewood. It functions identically to iron in all ways except for its method of acquisition and hardness, which is 5.

Economy

Blackrock chips (bc) take the place of gold pieces as the iconic centerpiece of trade and influence. These chips, minted of a rare and difficult to find variant of obsidian, are alchemically treated and marked thus making counterfeiting difficult. 

The conversion rate from book to campaign cost is 1 bc = 10 cp = 1 sp = 0.1 gp.
